Welcome to n0bby.com. nobby with a zero!

n0bby.com is the online home belonging to me, Neil Barnden. Sometimes known as nobby by my friends, and occasionally by bemused American clients.

n0bby.com is here as a vehicle for me to start collecting and displaying for public consumption stuff that I just feel like I want to show off.

I must explain that www.nobby.com was already registered so I had to "get creative", and after exhaustive market research and focus group testing, substituted a '0' (zero) for the more conventional 'o' (er... oh). As the owners of www.nobby.com would appear to be Dutch or Scandinavian or suchlike, please try to avoid visiting www.nobby.com in error, just in case it suddenly goes live and turns out to be dedicated to rampant gay porn. Not that I am thereby expressing any opinion, adverse or otherwise, on either the Dutch, Scandinavians, gays or porn. I'm sure in the fullness of time my site too will begin to fill with its own politically correct proportional representation of all the above categories, as I get older and my tastes become more catholic. And no, I'm not starting on Catholics now either.

Anyway, try and remember that if you'd like to visit again to see my pictures of pretty country scenes, happy dogs and cats, far away exotic places, sports cars, sub-machine pistols, assault rifles and modern German military clothing, I recommend you save this link to your 'favourites' list now, either by using your mouse or a keyboard shortcut that I'm damned if I can ever remember. It might help avert a simple mis-spelling leading to "Hot Felching Action" plastered all over your browser.

Don't say I didn't warn you. Enjoy!

P.S. If any of the links fail to work, it's because I haven't got round to sticking anything up there yet. Snigger. I bet the owners of nobby.com will steal that line...

Come back here to the home page for news, information about updates to and progress with the various sections.

Oh, forgot to mention that the airsoft hobby page has started to sprout content too. Begin to get an idea of why I'm a crazy mixed up guy - recently I was on a local anti-war march on Saturday, and then was off playing war-games on Sunday! What am I like eh? (and who gives a f*ck anyway?)

03/03/03. Wow - what a date! And I've uploaded a new section. Yes, it's time to check out the PETS pages.
I've added a brief description of our pet history, and added a pet gallery. Animal-tasic.

Thursday 27th February 2003
I've added new content to the Creative Stuff section. Some 150 or so of the 700+ photos I took on my trip to Nepal in 1991 can be seen here.

Tuesday 17th December 2002
The first digi art gallery is up - the work dates from December 1994, when I had an exhibition at a local gallery with another artist.

Hello World! Having continued to faff around with the thing for a few days, I've decided to do just go ahead and stick the site up as it is while I continue to deal with debugging it and adding additional content. So, if you're visiting now the only current content apart from silly captions about what might be on the site one day can be found in the creative stuff section, under the proper art and digi photos headings.

The site is almost ready to go live, with minimal content. Today is the day of the 'Big Push' to try and get it ready for upload. The basic page template, which has been giving me all sorts of irritating problems as it gets modified for the different categories, seems to now be behaving itself, so at least the buttons and rollover elements are staying in the right places! Fingers crossed...
